Group Learning & Workshops

At Mini Minds The Extra Learning Club, we offer a unique drop off learning experience, designed to give preschool children the best possible start to their education journey.

Our classes are thoughtfully structured to stimulate curiosity, build focus and teach the foundation skills children need to enter school with confidence.

Through a variety of engaging activities including phonics, early maths, puzzles, fine motor development and pencil control, we create a dynamic environment where learning feels like play. Circle time and guided comprehension exercises also encourage independence, communication and self assurance.

In our group classes, each child is provided with their own personalised work and activity station, tailored to support their individual learning needs.

Ideal for children aged 2½ - 3 years old, Mini Minds is especially beneficial for those preparing to enter preparatory school. We are proud to offer a supportive, child centered approach that fosters confidence, curiosity and a love of learning.

1:1 Learning Support

In addition to our group sessions, we also offer dedicated 1:1 support for children aged 3 to 5 years old who are preparing for school. These focused sessions allow us to tailor learning even more precisely to each child’s unique strengths, challenges and pace of development. By working closely with each child, we help them refine and perfect essential early skills, such as letter and number formation, phonics, early reading, and comprehension.

This personalised support ensures that every child is working to a high standard, giving them a strong academic foundation and the confidence to thrive in increasingly competitive school environments. Our goal is not only to prepare children for school, but to equip them with lifelong learning habits, resilience and a sense of achievement in their own abilities.

Miss Sofia

Founder & Lead Early Years Consultant

Mini Minds The Extra Learning Club was founded in 2014 by Miss Sofia, an experienced and passionate Early Years educator with over 21 years of hands on experience in the sector.

Before establishing Mini Minds, Miss Sofia spent seven years as a Teacher at Broadhurst School in South Hampstead, working under the respected leadership of Headmistress Miss Deirdre Berkery. Her time there, deeply influenced her educational philosophy and affirmed her belief in the importance of early childhood education, as the foundation for lifelong learning.

Miss Sofia’s passion lies in creating a nurturing, stimulating and joyful environment where young children are empowered to explore, discover and grow. With a strong belief in children’s natural curiosity and eagerness to learn, she founded Mini Minds to offer a space where learning is fun, purposeful and tailored to each child’s individual needs.

Through carefully structured yet playful activities, Miss Sofia ensures that every child at Mini Minds develops not only core academic skills but also the confidence, independence, and love of learning that will serve them for life.

Her approach is rooted in warmth, structure and high expectations all delivered in a setting where children feel safe, supported and inspired.
